About This Program

Welcome – May our beloved Lord Jesus Christ bless you and your family!

This website promotes Perpetual Adoration of our beloved Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar.  Our Eucharistic Adoration Chapel, located at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Church in St. Louis Missouri, is open every Sunday starting at 2pm through Saturday at 7:30am.  All are welcome to visit our Chapel – both Catholics and non-Catholics alike. Our Chapel serves as the “Cry Room” during weekend Masses.

What Is Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration?

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration is a program where the Most Blessed Sacrament, our beloved Lord Jesus Christ, is placed in a Monstrance and adored 24/7/365.  SMMA has “24/6” Adoration: stopping for Weekend Masses just prior to the 8 am Saturday Mass and resuming Sunday following the last Mass.  Adoration is also suspended during several others holidays, Holy Days, and during inclement weather.

One person must remain at all times in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament exposed in the Monstrance.

Two adorers is preferable. SMMA’s goal is to have two people signed up for each hour. If one cannot make it, they do not have to find a substitute – they would simply call their fellow adorer and inform the person they will be absent.

Each permanently scheduled adorer signs up to cover a specific hour once a week, each week.  The commitment lasts as long or as short as the adorer chooses. It is hoped  that the commitment will be for a sufficient duration to keep the ministry thriving.  Many adorers commit for months and even years because of their love for our Lord; even a short commitment of a few months can help.  Adorers receive many graces and answered prayers through their devotion to our beloved Lord Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament!

About This Website

SMMA is blessed with a vibrant ministry of Eucharistic Adoration. It is our vision to inspire more parishioners to visit the Adoration Chapel as it remains open 24 hours a day, 6 days a week.

Our Lord awaits us because He knows of our deep need for God’s love and salvation – a need that nothing and no one else can fulfill. Because Jesus can change our life in a brief moment, all are encouraged to come, adore, praise, and petition Our Savior.

Individuals are free to copy and use the information found on this website in an effort to promote Eucharistic Adoration or another good Catholic cause.
